Maker Day 2015

We are organizing a Maker Day for students at Saarland University on October 23. In this one-day event, participants learn the basics of printed electronics, 3D printing, laser-cutting, and Arduino programming. Most of the day will be spent hands-on by creating the interactive objects of your choice. No CP, but free pizza and a lot of fun! Beginners are welcome!

For registration, please send an e-mail to
More information soon on the Maker Day website.

Inventors Workshop on Printed Electronics, Keynote by Wendy Mackay

The Embodied Interaction Group is organizing the Inventors Workshop 2015 of the workgroup on Tangible Interaction within the German Informatics Society (GI-Fachgruppe Be-greifbare Interaktion). It will revolve around printed electronics for tangible interaction. We are delighted to announce Wendy Mackay (INRIA and University Paris Sud) as the keynote speaker. More information can be found on the workshop page.

CHI 2014

CHI 2014 has already been started with the workshops and we are all psyched about the main conference. Many of us will attend CHI and present their work. Feel free to chat with us and grab one of our Saarbrücken HCI booklets.
